Where We’re Headed
In the years ahead, Springboard will:
Continue work with EXISTING PARTNERS to grow and develop their programs.
Identify NEW PARTNERS and work with them to grow.
Identify funders to continue growing the MICROCOLLEGE INVESTMENT FUND and catalyze high-potential projects at our partner institutes.
Identify funders to expand our research work and LAUNCH A MULTI-SITE STUDY that demonstrates the impact of the microcollege model across contexts.
Explore opportunities to have the experience learned from microcolleges have positive IMPACT ON HIGHER EDUCATION more broadly.

The Microcollege Investment Fund
In 2024 Springboard established the Microcollege Investment Fund to resource high-impact catalyst projects at our partner institutes.
Springboard rigorously vets partner institutes to ensure their readiness for funding, and we provide ongoing support to help them grow their impact. This means funders can feel confident their investments are stewarded wisely.
And, with connections across the country and projects with diverse focus areas, Springboard can match funders’ priorities to specific meaningful projects.
If you are interested in learning more about the donation process, please email kam@springboardlife.org. 100% of contributions to the Microcollege Investment Fund are directed toward partner institutes.
“
"Miles Horton of the Highlander Folk School talks about how there are movement periods, and there are organizational periods. And if there ever was one, we're in an organizational period right now for the work of this field. You just build social capital. You create the networks. You get inside of the thing before it takes off. And that is why I'm really grateful for what Springboard is doing. It's because of your work that we are all connected. So if there is a spark when this movement picks up, we'll be on the inside of it together. And I'm confident, and I'm hoping, that that will happen soon.”
